Charlotte Tilbury; The Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Palette

Okay so before i begin, Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourite beauty brands! Yes it is a little on the expensive side, but with beauty, i really do believe that you get what you pay for!

I have been dying to try Charlotte's eyeshadow quads for ages now, so i thought i would take the plunge and order myself one. The Dolce Vita palette is now the newest edition to my C.T collection.

Let me start on the packaging...
The quad is encased in a plum plastic plastic packaging and in the inside each shadow in surrounded by a gold border...beautiful! The packaging is lightweight yet sturdy. Plus let's say a HUUUGE thank you to Charlotte for not including useless applicators in her packaging!

So the Dolce Vita Palette is a set of four warm toned, neutral shades which lean towards copper. Each shadow is labeled with its purpose;

1. Prime
2. Enhance
3. Smoke
4. Pop

This added extra takes the guesswork out of applying all four shades, making it very easy to apply!

The pigmentation of the shadows are all consistent and very easy to blend, the only down side of the whole palette for me is pigmentation the glitter shadow. I felt that this shadow did not adhere to the lids very well, unlike the Tom Ford quads. However, this can be resolved by packaging the shadow onto your brush and giving it a couple of sprays of mac fix plus!

Overall, i am so in love with this palette and if you have blue eyes then you simply need this in your life! Magical!

Urban Decay SMOKY palette

Urban Decays newest addition to their NAKED family, SMOKY is ,in my opinion, the most beautiful yet!

The palette has every shade needed for the perfect smoky eye, including a matte white highlight, a few shimmers and an array of sexy smoky colours to enable you to create a variety of day and night looks alike.

The concept of the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette is to create smoky eye make up looks from one, easy to use palette. Unlike past Naked launches, Smoky also contains a step by step guide on how to create a range of looks, which is easy to follow and a great source of inspiration!

The plastic packaging with magnetic clip is amplified by a beautiful smoke print on the cover. Inside, there is a full sized mirror with 12 eyeshadows and a dual ended brush- one side a fluffy blending brush, and the other a compact pencil brush.

In my opinion, this is the best packaging that Urban Decay have produced to date; the case is durable yet lightweight and is perfect to travel with, with its mirror and duo ended blending brush.

Overall, i am seriously impressed with the Naked SMOKY palette. It's balance of warm and cool shadows are designed to flatter any eye colour on any skin tone.
I can't wait to play about with this palette and see what different looks i can create!

Anastasia Beverly Hills' DipBrow Pomade

If there has been one brow product in the last year which has changed how we look at brows it has been the Anastasia Beverly Hills' DipBrow Pomade. From make-up artists to celebrities and all that is in-between, the DipBrow Pomade is loved by so many. But is it worth the hype?

There are eleven shades of the pomade, all of which come in a small screw top jar- making it perfect for travel and everyday use. The product does not come with a brush, so I use my ABH eyebrow brush #12 (small, angled brush) to apply, however I'm sure many different brushes would also work.

As pictured above, Dark Brown DipBrow Pomade with Anastasia Beverly Hills Large Synthetic Duo Brow Brush #12.

The DipBrow Pomade has a smudge free, creamy formula which glides effortlessly onto the skin, creating hair like strands. The Pomade acts as a primer for any further powder applications and leaves brows looking perfectly groomed, defined and flawless.

The lasting power of the DipBrow is just...wow. I apply this waterproof brow colour every day at around 10am in the morning and by 10pm at night my eyebrows are still intact, as if just freshly applied. One application truly remains intact all day long, no humid climate nor rain will budge those brows!

All in all, the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade is my holy grail brow product, a true game changer, and an absolute must have for any makeup lover!
